Content is king

What you really need is engaging content. Prominent calls to action on your home page, regular news stories or blogs. Engaging e-newsletters. The problem is that this is not only time-consuming, it also requires creativity and a good grasp of the English language.

Content is king, especially when it comes to Google and search engine ranking in general. Good quality, relevant content that targets specific keywords and phrases is more likely to get you a better position in the organic search results (as opposed to paying to appear at the top with AdWords).

Regularly changing and updating the content on your website not only keeps your site up to date and interesting for your visitors, it also shows Google that your site isn’t stagnated or dead. Given no one other than the boffins at Google knows how their search algorithms work, it is fairly common knowledge that the internet giant does favour fresh content and updates its index very rapidly.
